Procedures of teaching

In my final demonstration, I was assigned by my mentor to teach in 11-STEM B with the topic was Chain Rule from 03.30 pm-05.30 pm. Before entering the classroom, I have prepared lesson plans and activities that correspond to the content. For the topic, I was presented with the PowerPoint. Since my last class with Valentine's day. I, therefore, activities associated with it.


Time management and organizing activates

I was divided time allocation for the learning in the class by 3 part. First was open class, a second was teaching Procedural (Group Activity ), and the last was conclusion



I open class using game; I have here a box of hearts. the students will be picking a half of a heart and find them destiny partner by looking its pair. After finding his pair, paste it on a whole sheet of paper. Answer, with his partner the written function by finding its derivative using the rules of differentiation. I give 10 minutes.



After that, I began to teach new topics, using PowerPoint. And then give examples only 1 samples. For examples 2,3 the students show how to think together.



I have group activity; I want them to count from 1-5 to divide the group.I will be giving them a big heart and on that heart, there are 5 questions for them to answer. On the upper part of the heart, write his names. Please use a whole sheet of paper for his solutions. After solving all the problems, they have to arrange the jumbled words to form a statement based on the sequence of your answers. Paste the statement on the Carolina that I will be providing. They have 15 minutes to finish it.


After student finished the group activity worksheets, each group presented their works in front of the class.


Next!

I have 5 questions for the students. Answer it for 15 minutes. Write it on a whole sheet of paper. (Individual test)


Finally, I have a home activity for them and summarize the content by asking questions to the students. Link associated content with real situations in daily life. By I start events prior to share with them.



Problem Solving


Each student learns slowly. Make me have to adjust lesson plan because I want them to understand the most.


Sometimes the students’ can’t understand when I speak English because we have a different pronunciation. But, that’s no problem for me. I can speak with body language with my students.

Classroom management

I tried to create an effective classroom atmosphere through quality and well-executed lesson plan. When they're tired of learning I have math games to come and I also gave them some jokes, therefore, the classes were not boring during the learning process.
